Arndt Brachat PhD

Dr. Brachat received his Ph.D. in molecular genetics from the University of Basel, which was complemented by over 18 years of experience in bioinformatics at Novartis. He contributed to target discovery in oncology and to biomarker programs in various therapeutic areas comprising auto-inflammatory and auto-immune diseases, as well as respiratory and neurodegenerative indications. Dr. Brachat drove biomarker strategies in clinical phase II and phase III studies and was responsible for the exploratory analysis of biomarker and clinical data. His work enabled an improved mechanistic understanding of molecular drug action, the identification of relevant patient sub-populations for personalized medicine, and indication expansion based on molecular data. Dr. Brachat provides biomarker strategy consulting and biomarker data analysis services, serving customers in biotech, pharma, and academic research institutions.
